Came for a wedding here. Beautiful venue for a smaller wedding. The building is beautiful. Small dance floor but loved the balcony area for fresh air. The woman working the bar was such a sweetheart too. The stone walls are picturesque and charming.

This experience was exactly what I was expecting. I knew from the beginning that this venue would under deliver and not meet our expectations. From the inability to communicate or even just respond to send an invoice showing what we had ordered to make sure everything was good. This owner decides to avoid us all together but quick to take the money and when we get to the wedding day a lot was wrong or missing. We ordered hours d’oevres for our guest and never received and when asked she said we never said that. If we would have received the invoice we would have noticed that she didn’t have it on there. We know we ordered it but instead of taking ownership she turned it on us. My family had to clean up the venue prior to the ceremony starting. Empty beer bottles and trash on the patio. They had to skip being with me in order to clean up. Then she had a wedding coordinator, which she did the best she could, try and help. She was really nice but come to find out the owner put out an ad 3 days prior looking for someone to be a wedding coordinator but charges $300 for us to use someone she gets randomly. The worst part is if you ask her about any of these bad reviews she says it’s the previous owners they are talking about. No it’s her the new owner. Romnie or however you spell it. You just don’t know what you are going to get. It’s a gamble and a wedding is not a day you want to gamble.

We were incredibly disappointed with our experience. Our day of coordinator Kyra did all she could to save the day. So thankful for her! Communication was poor leading up to the wedding, and critical details were not discussed until after our wedding. There were so many things that went wrong the day of. I regret ever using this place. While the venue has potential, what we experienced did not reflect the level of service we were promised or paid for. Would not recommend this place TO ANYONE based on our experience. An apology doesn't fix a day that cannot be done over.

Beautiful inside, out, and all around! As a wedding photographer, I'm always so grateful when venues make my job easier. From the staff helping out immensely every time I work there, to the best views for photos being just a foot outside the door, I feel so relieved when I see The Old Stone Chapel on an upcoming wedding. I just adore taking couples out for sunset photos here because I can get them out and back to the reception in no time since all the gorgeous features of Main Street are just a short walk away. Always makes my day smooth as can be and I know the couples I work with feel the same! IG: @batchelorphoto

We booked Le Belle Coeur for our wedding and Old Stone Chapel for our rehearsal dinner because of the location and atmosphere, and while the venues themselves are beautiful, the event execution by Heart Events by EDEM fell significantly short of our expectations. Throughout the planning process, communication from the venue was extremely slow. Our emails often went unanswered for two or more weeks despite multiple follow-ups, and the replies we did receive were defensive and dismissive of any questions or concerns we had, making the planning process much more stressful than it needed to be. When our wedding weekend came, our experience with Romney and her team did not improve. We had paid to book the venues for both Friday and Saturday so we would have access to them for the entire day before our wedding for set up and decorating. On Friday morning, Romney showed up an hour and a half after our agreed-upon time. To make matters worse, the snow from two days earlier had still not been cleared from the sidewalks or parking lots, which she had promised would be done before our rental started on Friday. This delayed our entire setup process as we were unable to drive our vehicles into the parking lot to unload since the parking lot had turned into a sheet of packed-down snow and ice. Once we got inside, Romney and her team had not set up the tables matching the floor plan we had provided, and the tables they did set up were a mix of sizes, not the consistent 72" rounds we had confirmed in advance before buying tablecloths and creating our seating chart. We then had to move the tables ourselves and rework the table arrangement to best accommodate our seating chart. We were told our final invoice would be ready and due two weeks before the event, but it wasn’t sent until the night before the wedding, and it didn’t include all of the deposits we'd already paid, which we had to correct. On the wedding day itself, the Heart Events staff did not interact with us (the bride and groom) at all. The only time we spoke to them was when they served us our dinner, despite Heart Events forcing us to spend $300 on one of their in-house “wedding coordinators”. Dinner was one of the most frustrating parts of the day. The food was 30 minutes late, and it took over an hour to serve 180 guests buffet-style, despite Romney telling us this would only take her team 30 minutes to serve the 205 guests who RSVPed. Some guests were told they could only choose one meat option, which was never discussed with us when we were choosing our menu, nor was this mentioned in the pricing. They also ran out of sides and salad before all guests were served (even though we had about 25 fewer guests than we had paid for). Romney had specifically asked during our month-out planning meeting if we wanted to offer chicken tenders and fries for the few kids we were having at the reception, which we said yes to. On the day of, none of the kids were offered this option. The bar also ran out of vodka, bourbon, beer, and bride’s signature drink before the end of the night. Our entire experience, from our initial venue tour to our wedding day, was with Romney and Heart Events by EDEM. If you have already booked your wedding with them, I recommend hiring your own day-of coordinator who is not affiliated with Heart Events. If you haven’t yet signed a contract, I highly encourage you to explore other venues that offer the professionalism, reliability, and communication that every couple deserves on their wedding day.
