This hotel is definitely the place to stay when traveling with kids to St. Charles. It’s on Main Street just a short walk away from Old Town St Charles and provides all the comforts of home. We were traveling with our two young kids and appreciated having a mini fridge and microwave for quick snacks and to store baby bottles. You can tell that they’ve made some updates to the rooms and hotel in the last few years, everything felt clean and fresh. The king bed in our one room suite was comfortable and the kids enjoyed the pullout couch in the living room along with the swimming pool for a fun activity in the evening. The free breakfast in the morning was great, just what we needed to fuel up before setting out for a day of adventuring. We appreciated the staff that we interacted with, all were extremely kind and helpful. The covered parking is a nice amenity too. Would highly recommend this hotel and plan to return again in the future.
This hotel was very nice. The ceilings in the room we had were high, which made the room feel larger. We didn’t hear any other guests or housekeeping cleaning the other rooms, which was very nice. When we got to the room the fridge was not plugged in so it wasn’t cold. The air conditioner would not put out air under 68 degrees even though we lowered in as far as it could go. If you like to sleep cool make sure you have a fan with you. The internet worked great. The hot water worked amazing in the shower. The breakfast area had plenty to choose from. The hotel has parking in a parking garage under the hotel. The front desk people were very friendly. The hotel is in the historic district and felt very safe. We would definitely stay again!
Amy at the front desk was wonderful to me. The hotel is beautiful and quaint. My room was comfortable and I slept like a baby. I liked that my room was next to the gym. The hotel pool was warm and comfortable. They do have breakfast and both days.I was there it changed With different options. I will be back when I am assigned to go back.
We stayed here for our wedding because we got married at a venue near by. On our wedding day they asked me to leave the room 2 hours earlier than was discussed when we booked. My parents were over charged and it was difficult to get it resolved. We were given poor direction on how to book the rooms for our family. The first thing I heard when I walked in was they had booking issues with other members of the wedding. Overall, it was a very poor experience, especially for our wedding day. It was a great location and the rooms were updated but it was overshadowed by creating a lot of extra stress.
This is a newer hotel with some nice indoor parking. The pool was cool and lacks a hot tub and sauna. The breakfast is basic. The room had no towel racks, and the sink cabinet was too narrow for the space, so counter storage was tight. The location is excellent, with easy ways to drive to different places, or to walk into the old town.
