Overall, our wedding at Old Stone Chapel was absolutely beautiful, and I’m so happy we chose this location! The Old Stone Chapel was the perfect setting for our ceremony with around 90-100 guests—it felt intimate without being overcrowded. However, I would be cautious about pushing the guest count closer to the venue's max capacity, as it could feel a bit tight. The different spots for photos were stunning, from the Le Belle stairs to the stone wall and courtyard, and our wedding pictures turned out gorgeous! The staff was incredibly helpful and personable on the day of the wedding, making sure everything ran smoothly. I also really appreciated being able to come in the morning of to decorate. The bridal suite (for a fee) was spacious, well-equipped with multiple bathrooms, and just a short drive from the venue, which made getting ready a breeze. A HUGE downside was communication in the planning process. It was difficult to get in touch at first, and we didn’t get more consistent responses until about a month before the wedding when we finally booked a meeting and received a number to text instead of email. They also accidentally forgot to invite us for the tasting. To their credit, they did remedy their mistake by offering to prepare a small selection of proteins and sides for us to pick up and try at home. The turkey with the tasting was delicious and like carved Thanksgiving turkey. The night of the reception it was essentially rolled up deli turkey.... I do not know how you charge someone an up-charge to receive an addition entree and completely change the quality of the food! We were already paying over $40 a head- AND we had around 20 people less than the minimum we were contracted to pay... When my mom expressed this concern she was told some excuse about them thinking it looked nice this way. My mom stuck to her guns and the owner finally agreed to reimburse a couple hundred dollars via check in the mail. Ever since then she been given the run around... very unwilling to address clear concerns with the satisfactory of services promised! At the end of the day my wedding went well. I loved the venues and the ease of being down on the Streets of St Charles, but I can say I would not go with this business again if I knew then what I know now.
We held our wedding reception here this past weekend. Everything was great. They accommodated every request I asked and were always professional. They never made me feel like I was bothering them (when I probable really was annoying them), but they NEVER made me feel that way. They were fantastic to work with. Our guests had a great time and the dance floor was never not empty! I also feel like I have made new friends during this planning process. Romney and team were great and if you can request your coordinator, I highly recommend Kyra! She is top notch!!!!
This place was AMAZING! To be honest I was a little worried about other people’s review about this place, and hoped for the best and it was. The staff was very sweet and very accommodating, and we had gotten so many compliments from guest about how great the food was and served on time, also how beautiful it looked. I talked to a few guest and they are going to book their wedding here as well after attending my daughters. I highly recommend contacting Romney at Le Belle Coeur for your wedding venue!!
Absolutely beautiful venue and great location in St. Charles! We ordered a breakfast and dinner option for our event and the food was really good as well. Staff is very friendly.
Had the best night of our lives celebrating our wedding. The spot is absolutely perfect being right on the cobblestone in St. Charles. It’s always been my dream to get married in St Charles and they made those dreams come true. Romney was always available when I needed anything. The food is still something I dream about- it’s THAT good. I wish I could have spent more time taking in the beauty of Le Belle Coeur.
